Digital camera reviews of CyberPower High-Speed 7-Port USB HubDigital camera Review: Awesome!! Summary: 5 Stars
It is great. If you own a USB powered external hard drive it is perfect for it. Each of the ports are powered by the hub. I would definitely recommend this to any one that wants to free up there desk space. Its also reasonably priced, 30 bucks for a powered hub you can't beat that.
Digital camera Review: Becoming more of a neccessity. Summary: 4 Stars
Because of proliferation of USB based products, the USB hub is now more neccessary than ever. If you have multiple USB based devices (printers, keyboard, mouse, flash storage, USB speakers, iphone/ipod jack etc) and want to consolidate all your devices into a one single hub, then this hub does its job well.
This devices works equally well both in Windows (Vista) and Mac OS (Leopard and Snow Leopard).
It is about half the size of a medium sized hand.
Each USB port has its own dedicated LED light. The LED light indicators, however, are little brighter than I would like. It MAY bother those who are extremely light sensitive while sleeping. But a cheap way to alleviate such a problem would be to cover the LED lights with tape.
I used this device as a hub for all my USB devices for my MacBook Pro (2009) and the device works flawlessly, including for my USB speakers.
Digital camera Review: Best USB Hub I've used Summary: 5 Stars
I previously purchased a Belkin USB 2.0 Plus Hub (7 Port) F5U307-BRN. The latter device became searingly hot and I was concerned that it might be dangerous. It also seemed to constantly lose connection with the attached devices so that I was constantly hearing the chime sound on my computer as the USB devices came on and off line. I returned it.
My CyberPower hub has had NONE of these issues and I am delighted with it. The vertical orientation is a bit tippy/awkward when "fully loaded" with USB connections, but that's about the only thing I'd complain about, and it's really not a big issue. I highly recommend this device.
I also wanted to add that on my device ALL of the green LEDs are lit whether or not the device is attached to the external power cord. I note the same pattern on one of the uploaded customer images. One reviewer (@Kevin Calman "Otaku", Austin, TX USA) said these green LEDs were power overload indicators and that they were not lit on his device. Not my experience....
The blue LED is pretty "brilliant". I actually unhooked my device from the power cord so that it shuts down when I shut my computer down (and the LEDs turn off). None of my devices required external power, and when left attached to the cord, the hub and its LEDs remain on 24/7. If left on, the LEDs are so bright that I see the glow from my bedroom across the hallway!
Digital camera Review: Best USB hub I have ever used Summary: 5 Stars
Fits right under my LCD monitor. Plenty of USB ports. I keep this thing full at all times. All devices work flawlessly with it. It wedges perfectly under my Viewsonic LCD monitor which holds the unit upright and tight to my desk making plugging and unplugging of USB devices very easy. I highly recommend this product.
Digital camera Review: Best USB hub ever Summary: 5 Stars
I recently was in the market for a new USB hub. After a lot of research I purchased this product. It is one of the best electronic devices that I have ever purchased. It has a sturdy construction and with the ability to stand up right, it saves a lot of desk space, and with the jump drive port on the front its the ultimate USB hub. I would buy it again any day.
