Switch was simple to install to my existing network, just plug and go. I used this switch to separate some CPUs off of the 100mb network and put them on the gig highway. Worked just as planned and was seamless. I actually added two of these and saved big jack over a 16 port gig switch. Network speed and response time increased even for those CPUs w/out a gig nic. 1. Unbox then plug in the unit.
2. Plug rest of your CAT6 cables from your gigabit router to this switch.
3. Gigabit home network simply works with auto sensing.

This was just as advertised! Very fast and efficient, also was one of the easiest to set up switches I have used, I have had it for a while now and it has performed perfect. This product arrived ahead of schedule and has done everything I purchased it to do. The documentation is excellent and the Auto MDI/MDI-X crossover on all ports eliminates the need for crossover cables or uplink ports. This switch replaced a four port switch which required a crossover cable and or an uplink port. It performs as advertised.
