I replaced an old Linksys 100mb 4 port switch with this to get more ports and faster speed. It accomplished both at a very reasonable price when compared to most others.
I don't have specific data for you, but it is definitely speedier in my network. It went in the system easily - plugged and used. It plays well with my DLink router and the other gb switches which are Netgear.
No problems, have used it for a couple weeks now and would certainly recommend.

This was easier than expected, it's not a hub it's a switch difference one thinks and splits one splits. But it was just as easy hook up and that's it.

This switch is about as easy to use as they come. With every new appliance adding ethernet port to them, I needed this to connect my NAS, TV, bluray player... and the list goes on. I have this switch attached to a bridge and just plugged this in, connected the devices and had it working right out of the box. Need more than the 4 ports your router provides? Get this no fuss switch!
