Digital camera reviews of D-Link EBR-2310 Ethernet Broadband RouterDigital camera Review: Bad service Summary: 1 Stars
I am not happy with your return service. I made mistake ordering wired Router while I need wireless one, but the seller refused to return the router or replace it with wireless one.

Digital camera Review: Basic Low-Cost Router Summary: 1 Stars
I recently purchased the D-Link EBR-2310 after I had to keep resetting my Macsense XRouter Pro (MIH-130A), which served me very well for about six years. (Despite the "Macsense" name, the router works with Linux, Macintosh, and Windows.) At the time that I purchased the Macsense router, it was over $250 USD retail, but I'd already been through two Linksys routers that cost about $80: The first one died after three weeks, and the replacement did not last much longer.
When I found myself resetting the Macsense router almost constantly one day, I rushed out to buy a router locally in order to keep my multiple-OS home network up and protected. Unfortunately, I do not believe that Macsense makes this router anymore, instead offering a less expensive model similar to this D-Link. (Apparently, routers for this type of use are now basically low-cost, "disposable products.")
I configured the D-Link EBR-2310 manually and easily via the Web interface. I was glad to see that the EBR-231 is configured by default NOT to respond to pings from the Internet (WAN): A few years ago, it seemed that most home/SOHO routers responded to outside pings by default, which I never understood!
Although I know that no router or computer connected to the Internet is truly "secure," the Macsense router always passed the Web-based ShieldsUP! ports scan by Gibson Research -- with full "stealth mode" status, even for Port 113.
After I configured the D-Link EBR-2310, it did not achieve "stealth mode" status after a scan by ShieldsUP!, because Port 113 is detected, although it is closed. I realized that this failure to achieve "stealth" status because of Port 113 does not mean that the EBR-2310 offers inadequate firewall protection, but because of my experience with the Macsense router, my opinion of the EBR-2310 is considerably lower than it might otherwise be.
D-Link's Web site offers instructions for configuring their routers to run in "stealth mode," but when I contacted D-Link support via e-mail, the representative replied that I would need to submit requests for "product enchantment" [sic] via postal mail, and he did not respond at all to my configuration questions about "stealth mode." I do not anticipate getting much, or any, help from D-Link's support staff.
This router is easy to configure, has been reliable so far (with two resets since I installed it about two weeks ago), and it is affordable. D-Link is constantly releasing new models of this type of router and, for the past two years, my sister has purchased a new D-Link router each year for her household network, because she must replace the one that dies. I hope she has just had bad luck.
I am not impressed by the EBR-2310, but it does work and is affordable.
Digital camera Review: Can't Filter by IP Summary: 1 Stars
I wish I would have had read the reviews better, but you can't filter by IP address. I also noticed some weird timeouts so I'm thinking there is an issue with the routing too. Returning because I like to restrict access into my home network by IP. I can't believe this is not included!
Digital camera Review: Cant get the speed Summary: 3 Stars
I don't know what the problem is, but I bought this and the D-Link cable modem and connected to mediacom, WITh the router connected speedtest shows 1.25 Mbps download speed, without the router and my Mac connected directly, I get the full 12.00 Mbps speed I pay for.
I've tried resetting, reconfiguring, rebooting, power cycling, automatic setup, manual setup, still cant get faster than 1.25 Mbps.
Tech support suggested resetting it, I even did that, same problem.
Im assuming since all the routers I see for sale are 10/100, for broadband/cable/ DSL that this is the correct speed to handle 12.00 Mbps on mediacom.
Digital camera Review: Cheap, Fast & Easy Summary: 5 Stars
Initially I was amazed at how small the product is. Now its installed I don't even notice it, and it's not hot to the touch like some wireless routers.
This product was so easy to install a complete novice would have no difficulty following the built in set-up wizard.
