I wanted to convert a male RS232 cable to a male end plug. Obviously this converter is more suited to connecting cables, as it wouldn't fit on a plug. It's partially my fault for not really thinking it through, but it's disappointing that it doesn't "just work."
EDIT: Alright, I have a solution. If you want to connect it to a plug, but the metal pins on the sides are blocking you, just use a flat head screwdriver on the end where there's an indentation for it, and grab the other end of the pin with pliers. You'll be able to unscrew it, and it'll work fine. 5 stars.
