i purchased this case about a year ago and dont quite use it every day and am easy on my accessories, within the first 2 months the metal clip bent out and that made it a little harder to use. after i bent it back it worked like a charm agian....
when i upgraded to the iphone 4 i wasnt sure if it was going to fit, but it does.. it fits well with no case on the iphone 4 and not at all with at least the casemate bumper, i havent tried anything else. i have the invisible shield on my iphone 4 now, so i dont really need a large case, but when i do have one on the phone i dont use the holster.
but it does fit the iphone 4 as well, so thats the best part.

I am picky. I bought this because it was cheap and figured it looked good with not much to lose. BAM. Got it. It is a great product. Full leather inner and outer. Fits the 3G perfectly, finally something that was really designed for the 3G and not some Crackberry PDA relabeled product that is all wobbly and loose. This is a great deal too. Mine came labeled for the AT&T store, I presume DLO sells this on the rack at AT&T for waaaaay more.
My only complaint (if one) are the attachment point clearances for the audio jack. If you wear your case on the right side as I do and use your right hand to remove the phone from the case AND you like to listen to your wired headset while it is in the case, you should know this: the phone naturally wants to have the screen facing inward (for protection) causing the audio jack to face forward and sit at the bottom. In this config, the leather attachment covers the audio jack. Meaning that you really cannot plug a headset in easily. It would appear they designed this with the expectation the phone would be worn on the left. Sadly all they had to do is cut a very slight amount of leather to make the access a non-issue. So figure it out. For me it is no biggie. If I listen to a headset I just flip my phone in the case toward my rear (audio jack is now up top and accessible) and then twist it around carefully if I have to take it out. Fairly rare. You cannot cut it to make clearance. Nicely stitched.

I like the DLO Leather Holster Case for iPhone, however, if you have a protective case on the iPhone, it's a very snug fit; so snug that one can't easily insert and remove the phone. I resolved this problem by using Kiwi shoe stretch. I placed the phone in the case and sprayed the shoe stretch and left overnite about three times and now the case is large enough to easily place and remove the iPhone.Digital camera Review: ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!!!!!!

I thought this case was really nice until the belt clip came off AFTER 10 DAYS! My iPhone almost hit the floor. If I sound angry, I am. I just got off the phone with the DLO customer service. I'm still in disbelief at the smug tone and unbelievable arguements that they tried to make that this was not their problem. Apparently the case, only needs to work out of the package!
I recommend staying away from all DLO products, since their customer service is so bad. That is difficult, since they have the ATT store market cornered but you have a lot of other options for your iPhone.
