Digital camera Review: Not the Product I Ordered

I ordered this Memory Card Reader based on the photo on Amazon. When I got it, it was unwrapped, no instructions were included and it was made in China. It did not look like the photo on Amazon.
I got no satisfaction from the dealer. Needless to say, I will not even use this piece of junk.

I received this as a free bonus when purchasing a microSD 8gb card for my phone. Since then, I upgraded phones, and the new phone came with a larger card. So I'm using the 8gb card in this device basically for a thumb drive, and I've had no problems with it. It is great to have for those times you're at a computer with no card reader built in. It is not very fast, though, so if you need a super quick data transfer option, this probably isn't it. You do need the adapater for the smaller formats, but if you use the smaller formats, you should have those anyway.Digital camera Review: Perfect

I was very happy to find this offer to get the reader free with the 8GB MicroSD card. I was confused at first because it seemed not to work but I ready a review on this site that said it may not work if the usb port is recessed. I had plugged it in and the light came on but my computer didn't detect it. After reading the review I switched it to a different usb on the back of my laptop and it showed up and was ready to use within 5 seconds. What can I say, it works perfectly and looks pretty cool too. Plus, since it does read standard SD cards it can be used with other cards that I have that are standard size and Digital Media sent the SD adapter for my MicroSD card anyway. Fantastic deal and it got here faster than any of the other stuff I ordered on Amazon.Digital camera Review: Piece of Junk

This thing just flat out DOES NOT WORK. You insert it, the red light blinks twice, then Windows says an "unrecognized device has been detected". I sent it back to the vendor (it cost me over $1 to return a $5 item) and, SURPRISE, the new one does exactly the same thing!
Don't waste your time or money with this thing. I would rate it zero stars but that doesn't seem to be an option.

This memory card reader is very handy to have. It can read the memory cards from your camera, cell phone and other devices. It's easier to put the card in this and read them rather than trying to find all of the cables that go with all of your devices so you can download pictures from the card. Great purchase!!
