Ok, the Axim is a great product. It does everything I want it to do. I needed it as an MP3 player for while I'm out on walks (trying to lose weight, but I get bored if I cant listen to anything so I have audio books) and I also use it to record my classes at the college I go to. It will also play games while I'm bored an it also records my work schedule and I can put my homework assignments on there as tasks to remind me. The only problem I had was with the company (Eagle Computers I think was its name, it was Eagle something). I paid for 2 day shipping, and it did arrive in 2 days after shipping, but it took them a WEEK to ship it to me. Now I did order it late night on Thurday, so I didnt expect it to ship out until Monday, but they didnt ship it until the FOLLOWING Thursday. So if you buy one, which I would recommend, DONT buy it from the Eagle Computer Company.Digital camera Review: Great deal on a great PDA

I wish that I had gotten a PDA sooner. This product as gone above and beyond what I expected.
Intially, I had a little trouble syncing to my laptop, but once that got cleared up, I've had no problems. With the wireless and bluetooth off, i can go days of my normal use without charging the battery. This is good when I'm on call, and don't bring my charger to the hospital. I'm also pleased that the alarm will turn on even when it's sleeping.
I definitely recommend this product to any medical student starting rotations. It'll lighten your pockets and carry more info than any books you could ever stuff into your white coat.

I've been using this PDA for over a year, and have come to depend upon it for use as a GPS, watching TV via Sling Media Slingbox SOLO (SB260-100), and relaxing to recorded music and movies while traveling. The program Google Navigator at PDAfun.net, the large touch screen on the Dell PDA, and the Bluetooth G.Top G33 GPS receiver all work together so well, that they combine to make the best GPS I have owned. The Dell wi-fi and Slingbox combination make for a nice portable TV inside and outside the house. Add wired SONY MDR-E10LP Lightweight Earbuds (GRAY) (Dell's bluetooth does not support bluetooth earphones), and you can listen to high quality music riped from DVDs. And if you own a TiVo TCD652160 HD Digital Video Recorder, you can transfer video files to your computer, convert them to wma files with 3d party software, and watch them on the Dell while traveling. Or if your hotel has wi-fi, you can also watch your home cable box or TiVo through the Slingbox. Add the program Skype, and you can use the Dell PDA as a telephone via wi-fi and the internet. Of course you can also do all the normal things you'd expect a PDA to do, like receive email and explore the web, and read other files, but I found these other functions to be really handy...in one small package. I have tried using a windows Smart Phone/PDA to do these other functions, but it was not nearly as user friendly, well built, and as reliable as this Dell PDA. I really don't understand why Dell stopped making the Axim X51v, because I consider it to be the best.Digital camera Review: Great product

So far ive had the dell axim 51v for 2 weeks now. Ive had no problems whats so ever with it. Im currently in the army and i use it for pretty much everything, except PT :) The activesync did have preblems connecting with my laptop but that was solved with the new update. Like another reviewer stated you MUST dl the new upadte. This thing is basically a small computer and you can do whatever you want with it. I use it a lot for movies and internet because im always traveling to bases all the time. The only drawback is that it doesnt have a built in hardrive but that would raise the price tramendously(sp).
