Digital camera reviews of Delphi SA10001 XM SKYFi BoomboxDigital camera Review: GOOD SOUND QUALITY! XM ROCKS! Summary: 5 Stars
i purchased this boombox in conjunction with the SKYFI Reciever back in march, 2004. I use this boombox every day, and have had no problems with it, it features a volume control and a headphone jack. you can even order different color speaker grills online. one thing though, the reciver does get HOT when its been in use for a while, this is true with the boombox and the car kit, don't be alarmed though. it is perfectly normal for your unit to get hot after long periods. buy this item! ITS WORTH IT! p.s. if you want to LESSEN the heat, turn the contrast and brightness down, this makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE! the unit barely even gets warm with the contrast and brightness turned down!
Digital camera Review: Good for a basic Boombox Summary: 5 Stars
I've had the boombox for my XM Radio for about a month. I love it. I bought it because I cannot get regular radio reception in my office. Have it in my first floor window-less office in a six story office building. THe nearest window is about 30 feet down the hall and faces west. As long as I have the antenna aimed towards the window I get great reception.I'd recommend it to anyone.

Digital camera Review: Good product if your expectations are realistic Summary: 4 Stars
I've just come to satellite radio within the last few months, and the experience has been much better than I was expecting from reading product reviews. This boom box is a good example.
Sound quality is fine for a portable radio. It doesn't sound like a high-end stereo, but it doesn't cost like one either, and you can carry it from the kitchen to the porch or take it to the beach or in the RV. I've had no reception problems outdoors. Indoors, if you place the antenna properly, I get good reception too. I do get a little periodic fading in and out on the north-facing kitchen windowsill, but the old (non-satellite) radio I had there didn't come in any better. The Delphi's antenna allows enough flexibility to place it well in most settings.
I've read reviews that say there is no way to adjust the tone but that is not correct. Once installed in the boom box the SkyFi's internal menu lets you adjust bass and treble. The depth of sound isn't like a Bose stereo, but it sounds fine to me.
I'll concede that the design of the boom box has some flaws. There is no easy way to rest the thing down on a surface while you open the battery pack, and the cover to the battery pack is a little tricky. Also, the internal antenna jack and antenna storage is cumbersome; if you had to go in there all the time that could be deal-breaker.
Also, the SkyFi nests in the boom box very snuggly. To remove it you're supposed to be able to push it down in its cradle in order for the cradle to tip forward; I find that I need to slide something thin in on top of the radio to push it down so the cradle will tip. Yes, I would like that to work more easily, but it's still not a deal-breaker.
I am not aware of a better product that does the same things as the SkyFi radio and boom box combination. If there were one, it would probably cost more than I wanted to spend.
Digital camera Review: Good product, easy to use Summary: 4 Stars
The sound quality is not excellent, but this could be due to a poor reception because of location restraints. Overall the stereo makes it easy to transplant the XM receiver from the car to the home, which was most important to me.
