The AA batteries were purchased for a camera flash, well, 3 flashes. The initial impression was they were holding a charge and doing the job. I read some really horrible reviews about the charger so I used a couple of known working units. I charged and discharged the batteries 3 times(like you should to condition the batteries) and was quite pleased by the performance. I'm a professional freelance photographer and shoot sports. Being a freelance, I have to purchase my own equipment so I try to save some $$ whenever possible. The batteries held up right after a charge but if they are charged and sit for more than a day or so, they start to discharge. After about 3 days, I got about a 75% capacity out of them. Bottom line is that they are inexpensive but should hold up for most applications. BUT...charge them as close to use as possible.Digital camera Review: Ok product

Third time using it, I thought the house was burning down - acrid smell of burning electronics brought moments of sheer terror trying to locate the source... it was this cheap little recharger, melting in the outlet. I'm not going to even bother trying to get a refund - not worth the trouble. For the price (~$7) its a pretty good buy. Fits the Wii Remote perfectly, sorry to hear about the XBOX 360 remote thought, don't have one of those.
The batteries are labeled as 1.25V.
The charger that I received isn't double sided, the batteries are stacked in on one side.
Product says that it doesn't have memory buildup so hopefully they last long.
Overall, good price for a good product.

Do not buy this charger. The first one I got broke after one use. It took 3 calls to customer service to get a new one, which took almost 6 weeks to get to me, plus I had to pay for shipping to get the defective one back to them. The second one broke immediately as well. They will NOT offer a refund, only a third product of the same model. They even said "this is our most economical model, so you get what you pay for." Of course, I have to pay to ship the second defective one back as well. So after shipping of three items, I have more than paid for the cost of the item. I am not even shipping this one back - I am just going to eat the cost and buy from another company. To make matters worse, the average "hold time" for their 800 number is about 15 minutes. Then you get very unpleasant CSRs in New Jersey on the line with no compassion whatsoever.
