This one-size fits all model offers a cost-effective, convenient alternative that fits discreetly in the ear like expensive custom molded models do. The FREQ range covered is between 200 Hz to 8000 Hz, for a mild to moderately severe hearing loss. The processor does all the work inside the amplifier; it is preset to process the sound to the standards of a digital amplifier by increasing the softer sounds of 50 dB and under and decreasing the louder sounds over 80 dB. The toggle switch can be used to reduce the lows, giving more highs. This is effective in noisy areas such as restaurants, group meetings, sporting events. The background noise is subdued and controlled to better hear personal conversations more clearly.
