This thing is unreal. It has repaired every disc that I own that was scratched. It will remove all light scratches with out any problem, deep scratches can be fixed with multiple runs. It cleared up some of my worst cd's so that I could copy them with EAC or dBpoweramp flawlessly. The only thing that is annoying is that it's kind of loud when operating, but you'll probably enjoy listening to it as it works.
It will NOT repair discs that have scratches on the side with the label, but then again, NOTHING can repair a disc damaged in that way, because that is where the data is stored. (for those of you who didn't know) If that's the case, just buy a new cd.

The Skip Dr. works. Period. It is by far the best product out there, and the only one I've tried that's actually worked. My brother brought home an XBox game that had a very deep scratch in it, it didn't work at all, and even I didn't think it was fixable. But the Skip Dr. fixed it, and it works great! It has restored every disc I put into it. That includes DVDs, CDs and games. It takes exactly 1 minute to restore a disc and it's much better than the hand-crank versions. I found the Skip Dr. Motorized Automax Repair system very handy, and a pretty good value for the money. For the most part it fixed my 3-year-olds skipping and freezing DVD's. There were a couple DVD's which it could not repair, despite running them through multiple times. Those being a result of my daughter's careless handling of disks, and my carlessness of leaving them in reach. It cleans and buffs out small scratches easily, but will not do heavy repairs like the machines at the video stores. In fact, I know a manager at a local store, and their machine was able to fix the discs this machine did not. HOWEVER, I want to repeat it fixed 99% of all my glitches!! The problem I see is the flex wheel. It is rubber, and from first use, the seam on the sand paper started to separate. It did not and so far has not impacted the effectiveness of the unit, but I do see that I am going to have to buy a replacement wheel soon (after about 30 uses). I've used other types of clean/repair systems, mainly the ones you crank for yourself. This is a breeze compared to those, and I would certainly not shy away from reccomending this product. I would be nice if it came with a refil of fluid, an extra wheel, and a power adapter instead of costing about $20 total for the three of these items... but, nothing in this world is free! :-)Digital camera Review: Both boxes missing items

The Skip Dr Premier showed up in a box without all the items that is was supposed to contain. There was no special drying cloth and no felt buffing square. I called to see about getting these additional items but was told to return the first item for a second. The second item didn't contain these items either. Beware of this prior to ordering. I have yet to use the item.
