Good condition, but for some reason this won't work with my computer.

If you are on this page, your search for a 'smarter' option than purchasing it at App Store at standard price + shipping certainly ends here. Because this one just works fine!
Both me & my wife own 3GS, so we need this cable everywhere. computers and home, work, car and its been a while so the original cable started cracking from the ends.
So far I've orders 6 cables from diff online sites and these are the best so far. As other reviewers said it doesn't look like the original cable, but it works exactly as one.
The USB end looks like regular USB Type A. the iPhone/iPad end is like the original connector but the inside lock plastic is white instead grey (which in my opinion looks better). As opposed to some older models with depress-able side locks, this one is just like the original connector.
What makes this cable better than the original cable is at both ends of the cable when it goes in the dock or USB connector, it has the flexible support which stops the cables to crack at the first place . Not sure how Mr. Jobs' design team missed that.
Edit - For Some reason amazon picks up different sellers, mine were from BlueHarbor, so you really need to see which one you are buying, in the shipped from or shipped by section
Digital camera Review: 4 out of 5 Summary: 4 Stars
My only complaint was it didnt say (or I missed it) in the description that you can't charge it and listen at the same time on a nano - the cable connector is in the way of the headphone jack....
The cable works great and was sent in a timely mannor :)
Digital camera Review: 70% quality for 8% price Summary: 4 Stars
Engineer's review.
I ordered 3, and everything I say applies to all 3. Tested, retested, and verified.
Obviously not the "real thing", but functions just as well. Real thing is $19 and this is $2 rounded up.
Charges just fine. Connects to PC for BOTH iTunes syncing AND direct file transfer (through My Computer) just fine. Digital connection is 100%.
Physical connection is the only flaw in the device: the end that plugs into the phone is a very right fit and has to be lighty-to-moderately forced in.
The only cosmetic differences between this and the "real thing" (the $19 cable that came from Apple with my iPhone) are 1.) this one is thinner because it lacks the wire mesh shielding/insulation between the rubbery outer cover and the wires inside (nothing is lost because interference only affects analog signals), and 2.) this one has printed very small along the side of the cable "Designed by Apple in California Assembled in China" (ending about 3" from the iphone plug) while the original cable has no such printing.
This will most likely not last as long as the official cable; you can expect to go through 2-4 of these over what would be the lifetime of the original cable (depending on how much you abuse it).
I'd say that the quality-per-dollar-spent you get here is about 4-5x higher than on the original (full-price) Apple cable.
This is a good deal, go for it!
