Digital camera Review: Very nice bag for small tripods

If you like Domke camera bags you'll love this tripod bag. Same soft canvas and quality construction with sturdy zippers and strap rings.
The zipper pulls are large and solid and do tend to clank against the zipper as you walk. If stealth is important to you (for birding or other reasons) you'll probably want to muffle them with tape.
The bag length is perfect for my Gitzo GT2540 (22" closed length) with an RRS BH-40 mounted but there's little room to spare. Any longer tripod (or larger ballhead) would have to be stored without the ballhead attached.
My only wish is that the shoulder strap were a bit longer. It is permanently attached and cannot be replaced without removing the stitches and re-sewing. As-is it fits over the shoulder like a rucksack strap with the bag oriented vertically down your back.
The soft canvas folds up for easy packing or storage. Like other Domke products this is not a padded bag so protection is minimal. If that's important to you look elsewhere. But if you're just needing a nice-looking shoulder bag to carry a small tripod look no further.
