Digital camera Review: Only one charge

I get only one charge cycle out of it for my mp3 player. When I try charging the mp3 player a second time, the charger gives up when the mp3 player is maybe half charged. Other issues:
* I don't like it that there is an on-off switch. The instructions tell you to turn the switch off after charging to avoid "self-discharging". You'd have to keep checking on it to see when it's finished charging so you'll know to switch it off.
* There is no indicator showing its current capacity.
* The USB connector is upside-down, so when charging with a short cord, either the charger is upside down and you can't see its LED, or the mp3 player is upside down and you can't see its charging indicator.
* It does not include an AC-USB adapter. This may be of no consequence if you already have one, but if you don't, then you better get one, which is an additional expense. Otherwise, the only way to recharge it is to turn on your computer and plug the thing into a USB port.
This is the fourth such device I have used, and it is by far my least favorite. The one I like best is the Kensington. My second favorite is the APC. Neither of these has a manual on/off switch, and both have indicators for the current charging capacity. The Kensington is slimmer and cooler looking than the APC, but functionally they are the same. And they both come with AC-USB adapters.

Initially, I was very pleased with this device. After further testing, however, I am not so happy. While it still works for charging my camera and Archos, it does not charge my PSP, and only works with certain USB to mini-USB cords. I have found that my devices will not recognize the charger if I use the wrong cord. This is obnoxious to say the least. Just recently bought this for my blackberry. It's good for a 75% charge, but thats about it. Can't rely on it completely when traveling, won't give you multiple charges.
From the other reviews i'm guessing it works better for mp3 players, but if you're buying it solely for a smartphone, 1 charge is all you'll get.
Digital camera Review: Provides a decent amount of emergency charge for the money

I bought this product just prior to a trip to Walt Disney World, where I anticipated using my phone a great deal (the video camera function, as well as checking in via social media) and I wanted something with me that I could use to keep my phone going if it started to get low on battery.
I ended up using it several times over the course of the trip (and a few times since I've been back, as well) and the device restored about 35-40% of battery life to my T-Mobile HTC G2 mobile phone. I did need to carry a separate micro usb link cable in order to use the emergency charger, but that is due to the somewhat non-standard micro usb connector on my phone.
The configuration of this emergency charger makes it easy to use different cables to accommodate devices with different connector types, as you simply plug in the any USB cable you have for your device into the charger and then plug your device-specific end into your device.
While this will not get a full charge back for your device, it will get you enough to keep you going longer than a single charge of your device's internal battery will allow. If you read the specs on most other emergency chargers, you will find that's usually the case with those, too, especially the ones in this price range. This one works about how I expected it to, and reliably, so if you can find this product at an acceptable price, it should do the job for you.

This little charger works great. Charges 30GB Video Ipod fully. FYI...USB port does not work with all cell phones. Great product for the money.
