Digital camera Review: Useful exercise tool

I bought the basic Dyna-Flex Pro model, no speedometer, no starter; just the gyro, a string, and a mini video disk. I have no problem starting it up using the string. Once started, it is pretty easy to keep the thing going. With a little coordination (very little) you can rev the gyro's RPMs up or down. Sometimes the gyro can rev up to the point of being a bit uncontrollable, but part of the point of the exercise is build up the grip strength and coordination to manage the Dyna-Flex at high speeds. The workout itself is good for the smaller or precision muscles in the fingers, hand, wrist, and the lower arm. The disc has demonstrations of the three prescribed methods of starting the Dyna-Flex (string, chop, flick). As I said, I use the string as a starting device, the advanced starting methods are still beyond me. The disk also has demonstrations video of some fairly basic exercises and different grips. The guy in the video has hugh biceps, but I think he used other means to get them as over developed as they are. Regardless, the videos on the mini-disk are useful as an instructional starting point.
I've only had mine for a few days, but I am considering buying a second one. I can keep one in the office and take the other on the road when I travel. I like it better than the rubber/gel balls or other squeezable objects used as grip strengtheners. Recommended.

I really really want to get this product to work but no matter what I do I can't seem to manage it. I even bought the docking station seperately to help get it started and just can't get it going. I wouldn't waste your money on this unless you already know someone who has one that seems to work. I'm wondering if mine's defective.Digital camera Review: great workout

This provided a real workout in a short amount of time. The starter string is unnecessary and bothersome. There were no instructions for the functions and it would have been better if the function indicator lit up.
