I recently purchased a 300 mm telephoto lens for my camera. I couldn't keep my hand from shaking long enough to take a good picture. I like to take walks in the desert and photography wildlife. A tripod is too cumbersome for this. The solution? I picked up this monopod to use as a walking stick/camera brace. The result? It works just fine. Why not give it 5 stars? I haven't had an opportunity to test it along side of the many others that are on the market. Though I have gone on several picture taking walks with it, I haven't had it long enough to know for sure how well it will stand up over time. Am I satisfied? Certainly, it appears to be a good product for a good price.
An added bonus - it fits in my carry on luggage when I fly.
