Digital camera Review: Vista and System 7 working fine

I wanted to run two monitors on my old Vista machine. This card snapped right in and ran perfect. I'm an old 3dfx fan so I'm choking up blood to say that.... Voodoo2 forever! I got old so not much computer games these days... some chess or Civ 4 if I have a sick day.
The 9400GT was cheap enough. The software helped me have two monitors up and going right away. Nice to have a spreadsheet open in one window and word processor in the other. Civ4 is the only "real" game I've played so far with this card. Graphics are much sharper and my system got a good speed increase. The Vista experience number went from a 3.4 to a 4.5 in my HP dual core Pentium/2 Gig DDR machine.
Then I needed a new computer. Throwing common sense to the wind I grabbed an emachine off the shelf at my local mass marketer. Dual core Athlon/6Gig running Windows System 7. I pulled the 9400GT out of the dying HP and it wiggled into the PCI-e slot of the new eMachine. Emachine already had onboard nVidia so the drivers for the 9400GT were already in it! I also slid Creative sound card/Logitech speakers from the dying HP in at the same time. For about $600 (400 emachine, 70 vid card, 50 soundblaster, 80 speakers) I have a really rocking brand new little machine! The Windows rating went from 3.3 stock to 4.9. Civ 4 runs like a dream... snappy, pretty, and I'm actually listening to the music.
Twice now this card has put some snap into a lower end machine. Two installs no problems at all. Impressed with the software getting two monitors to work right away. If I can find my old copies of Falcon 4.0 and Quake I'll install them and update this review... don't even know what people play these days.
Reminds me I need to wipe the HP clean and donate it for a tax credit.
