I could not agree more with the other person who rated this radio. I too had to replace my old alarm clock. I cannot be more pleased that I bought this clock! I absolutely love the features. Just plug it in and it automatically sets the correct time. You adjust it once for your time zone and it does all the other work for you. The automatic correction for daylight savings time and leap year when coupled with the other features make this one of the best buys I have made in years. Easy to set. If you happen to live in a DST area, I would avoid this product if you expect it to automatically adjust when most of the country switches to daylight savings.
The product manual states that all "Daylight Savings and Leap Year adjustments are made automatically by the SmartSet internal computer." The Start of Daylight Savings Time is to be 1:59:49 AM on the first Sunday in April. The End of Daylight Savings Time is to be 2:59:59 AM on the last Sunday in October.
Those dates no longer apply to the new daylight savings standard, so I would recommend looking elsewhere if you desire a clock that can work with the new daylight savings dates.

I was given this alarm clock as a gift and I love it. I haven't been late to work yet due to a power failure. If the power goes out and then comes back on the clock will save your alarm settings and will automatically set the time. I wish all electronics were so smart. After 3 Months the update time feature will only update to the wrong time...yes thats right folks...it updates but 16 minutes off...company in NJ does not answer their phone.
