There are so many different ways to use the clock,the projection of the time on the ceiling was one of the features that swayed my decision but after two weeks I do not use it. The reason is the size of the time display is so big that is all I need, I set the radio to a favorite station and the volume low so as to not wake anyone else up and that is it. The buttons for snooze and radio on/off and the display on/off are all big, so there is no problem finding them in a half awake state.
The last feature I like is the selection of only weekdays wake up or every day wake up, I only use the Monday thru Friday selection so that I can sleep on weekends.
So all in all a great clock for a good price.

This clock is great, it sets in about 3 seconds and displays everything clearly. The projector does NOT work. some of the LEDs are not lighting up (like an old alarm clock). I didn't really care that much since I don't use that feature and it would cost even more to ship it back for a replacement. Overall a good clock, perhaps I can take a look at it and fix it myself.
If you get a clean clock, this is an excellent deal!

I bought this clock because we were so tired of our old clock failing to keep accurate time (the old clock had no low battery indicator). We've had the Emerson CKS3516 for a few months now and it has never failed to keep time throughout the many power losses we've had this stormy season.
It was so nice to wake up this morning and find this clock automatically adjusted to daylight savings time. We love everything about this clock: the large digital display, the time projection on the ceiling, the accuracy during a power outage, and the automatic time adjustment.

I received this clock Christmas 2006-it was bought at Brookstone for $69. My husband and I have always had our own clock radios because we get up at differnt times daily. As soon as I got it, my husband wanted one for his side of the bed. I went to Brookstone to buy it this Christmas 2007 and they didn't have one, so after Christmas I searched "Smart Set" and found it at Amazon for $24.50--it is the EXACT same clock/manufacturer!It's an awesome clock radio. The time can be projected on the ceiling using an on-off button. My husband likes the pojector because he says it is easier to look at the ceiling than roll over! The clock sets itself (atomic clock) and remembers the settings should you have a power failure. You don't have to change settings on weekends, because it has one alarm for weekdays, and another alarm for weekends. The clock is the perfect clock radio by far. The numbers can be bright, but you can dim or brighten them. The dim is just a little bit brighter than I'd like, but I believe it is the best clock radio hands down!
