Digital camera Review: Deep sleeper

I purchased this product because I was looking for an alarm clock that would accommodate both myself and my wife's wake up times. I go to work two hours before she does and we needed an alarm clock with dual alarm settings. I am also nearsighted and was looking for a clock that had a display large enough for me to read without my glasses. I will say the display is great and large; seeing what time your alarm is set for is also rather reassuring. Also, setting the clock is very easy as it atomatically sets itself once your time zone is entered. However, the alarm itself is very low in volume. The low audible "beeps" are not constant meaning the alarm doesn't continue till you snooze or turn it off. There is no adjustment to the alarm volume. There is a radio setting which the volume can be adjusted. I just don't like being startled by a person's voice at 5:00AM. Overall, I would have to say I'm very disappointed in this product. I am a healthcare professional. I take call and sometimes I sleep very little hours. I needed a product that I could feel 100% certain would wake me up after a long night or day. Sadly, this product does not instill any such confidence. If you are a light sleeper, then this product is great.Digital camera Review: Disappointed

This radio was shipped in a timely manner and I was very pleased with it when it arrived. After about a month and a half some of the idicator lights started to blink for no reason. Shortly thereafter, all the indicator lights went on and I cannot shut them off. I cannot turn the radio on without constantly pressing all the buttons and then, when I succeed in turning the radio on, I cannot shut it off without pulling the plug, and sometimes it still plays when reconnected. I understand that the return period has expired but it is not worthwile to pay for returning the item for a partial refund at this stage. It is a shame that Emerson could not produce a radio that works for more than two months. In my youth they produced the most reliable products. I will continue to shop at Amazon and would even purchase another Emerson product, but this particular radio is a dud. P.S. It does keep excellent time!Digital camera Review: Disappointed.

Just received my clock a short while ago and was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, I believe it is defective. The alarm, in either buzz or radio position only turns on
for about 10 secs. and then goes off. The book says it should stay for 1 hr. unless turned off. 2nd. The buzzer volume is so low, I just heard it with me ear right next
to the set. I guess I will find out how good the return's group is......a real shame, since this had all the features I liked.

Like - The large display; Good control over display brightness; Dual alarms; Displays the alarm times or "off"; Alarms are easy to set; The sound from the radio, given it is not a stereo unit, is good and clear and the volume is very good; The initial setting of the time was automatic, and I expect the shift to daylight saving time will be also (If not setting the time manually is easy.);It displays the day of the week.
Hokey, but works - The "wave" for turning the display (Which goes black when wave is set) back on and for causing the alarm to go to snooze mode.
The alarm starting quiet and getting louder the longer it runs (But, it is not obnoxious!).
Dislike - The buttons to turn the alarm off when it comes on are hard to find and small. It is a "fatter" than the photo shows - about 3 1/2 inches at the base.

We have had this clock for a year or so. It does not keep good time. I like the display and how it shows the alarms, but when the power goes out, the time gets off like any other clock. I am moving to an atomic clock that will be correct all the time.
