Digital camera reviews of Emerson Research Dual-Alarm AM/FM Clock Radio with SmartSet Automatic Time Setting System ? CKS3029Digital camera Review: Wonderful Clock Summary: 5 StarsWe have had our Smart Set Dual alarm for about 2 years. It is great. My husband has his alarm set for M-F wake up time and for Saturday and Sunday wake up time. I have only M-F set.
Today, following a night of storms and power outages, I was one of the few people not late to school as the Smart Set reset itself each time the power went off. The power went off again about the time my husband's alarm should have gone off - the backup battery was up and running and the alarms each went off at the correct time.
I have bought this alarm as gifts for several people and recommend it to everyone who needs an alarm.
Digital camera Review: Great Clock Summary: 5 StarsThe clock does everything it says it going to do. The dials are easy to read and easy to set the alrms. A great value.
Digital camera Review: no alarm on weekends Summary: 1 Starscan some please tell how to get the darn alarm to work on weekends. I almost missed a plan when it did not go off. I have tried everything and can't get it work on sat or sun
Digital camera Review: Digital Clock that can't tell time Summary: 1 StarsAs one other reviewer noted, this clock runs fast. In my case, at the end of every week it is about 4-5 minutes fast. I'm about to chuck it for a non-Emerson product.
Avoid at all costs; you won't have the time.
Digital camera Review: It really does NOT know the time Summary: 4 StarsNice product but if you are using it in a third world country where the electric company doesn't pay much attention to the number of cycles completed in a day, the time wanders...a lot. Here in this part of Mexico (Baja)it is common to see it indicate an error of 3-4 minutes a day, which is additive. I have to keep setting in a correction from an accurate time source. When I bought it I thought it listened to the WWV time source and corrected itself. Not so. When it is unplugged, it uses its own time source which is quite accurate but when plugged in it keeps time by counting the cycles like most 'plug-in-the-wall' clocks.
And....it is not easy to program all the features without referring to the manual. Otherwise, I like it. It does solve the problem of our frequent brief power outages.
