Digital camera reviews of Energizer 15-Minute Battery Charger Kit With Car AdapterDigital camera Review: Much, Much Better than Rayovac 15-minute Charger ! Summary: 5 Stars
I will only state a Few Important Points as there are tons of reviews on it already. First, YES, it really WORKS in 15 MINS and it is NOT NOISY to Boot (vs the Rayovac 15-minute charger that sounds like an airplane about to take off). And most importantly, it charges ANY RECHARGEABLE "AA" Batteries ! Having briefly owned the Rayovac 15-minute charger which requires EXPENSIVE, SPECIFICALLY Designed "AA" Batteries, you will save TONS of Money with the Energizer 15-Minute Battery Charger. Believe it or not, I just took it for granted that I would have to buy SPECIAL, Energizer Batteries (as I have 2x 7 MP Cameras that USE 4x AA Batteries EACH )as a Spare Set. I'm THRILLED knowing that I don't.
Digital camera Review: Not Good Summary: 1 Stars
Used it for over an year. Will charge only selective batteries. Not even all the 4 batteries that came with it.
Digital camera Review: Not a sales pitch Summary: 5 Stars
Wow, who could miss that these other reviewers work for Energizer? Anyway, not me and I don't own stock. I did buy this recharger at Target, for my digital camera AAs. It works as advertized, so I would say I am satisfied. Fast is good. But I would be more satisfied if the price was $19.99 not $29.99. It is easy to pack, but a little heavy, I guess that's to be expected with the transformer and batteries themselves. Overall, recommended.
Digital camera Review: Not as good as it seems Summary: 1 Stars
At first this thing was great, in 20 minutes (not 15) it would charge the batteries. The problems came later when batteries started showing up as "bad" according to the charger, even brand new ones. A few at first then a lot more. I have other travel chargers that would charge the "bad" batteries over 8 hours and they would work fine. Often after this the Energizer charger would charge batteries previously identified as "bad." After about a year I discovered that the charger was destroying the batteries. New and old, they would end up bad after a few cycles through this charger, so that even the slow chargers would not charge them. Many times the charger would not charge them at all, just wait 20 minutes and turn green as if they were done. Not good when you discover dead "charged" batteries while taking pictures on vacation. I'd recommend going with slower chargers, inconvenient as they are. The super fast charge time has destroyed a few dozen expensive NiMH batteries. I'm looking for one that'll charge a dozen at once....if they make one that is.
Digital camera Review: Piss Poor Summary: 1 Stars
I just returned this "piece of crap" charger to the store. Man, what a disappointment. Oooh, yeah, it charges those batteries pretty darn quickly. But, uh oh, don't think you're gonna get to use the batteries for longer than 15 minutes without needing to recalibrate them. Geesh, I thought I really hit the jackpot with this when I bought it for my Canon Powershot A630, but the product turned out to be a dud. I charged them first, because I didn't trust that they come charged out of the box. Then, I put the "re-charged" batteries into my camera and, I kid you not, no less than 15 minutes after doing so the camera indicated to me that the batteries were low. So, I charged them again, and again, after placing them in the camera, it indicated to me that the batteries were low after only a few minutes of usage this time. So, I toted it back to the store, got my money back and bought the Sanyo Eneloop Re-Charger. To say that the Eneloop works better would be too much like telling the truth. But, it outshines the UnEnergiz-ed "re-charged" batteries absolutely. If you can get it to work for you, awesome! If you buy it and find that it doesn't work well, then "I told you so."
