This is one of the simplest and yet most effective LED headlights out there. The multiple lighting options gives you a wide variety of choices for any situation that requires a little or a lot of light. I love mine for hiking, biking, and even work.
This model was difficult to find last year. I'm very happy that Energizer decided to reintroduce the product.
I do have a bit of a beef with this product listing on Amazon. The site shows a very bogus "List" price of $74.61 but they'll discount it 70% or $52.55 to a price of $22.06. Give me a break! On what planet would this list for $74.61? I know this is Amazon's site but you can pick this light up at any discount store, like Target, for $14.99!
Energizer also has a 3 LED version and another version with a 1 watt LED spot.
All are great products.
Another note to the Amazon Webmaster: You might want to double check that you have the correct picture associated with the described product. You picture the 3 LED light and describe the 6. I'm a very active Amazon Prime customer so I think I have earned the right to say who ever edited this product site really screwed the pooch.
Update: I will give Amazon some credit for actually reading reviews. Less than 24 hours after my review they adjusted the "list" price from $74.61 to a still too high but more realistic $24.95 "discounted" 12% or 2.89 for a price of $22.06. This is still $7 higher than the average discount store (more when you factor in shipping). Now, they just need to correct the picture to the product description.

Added this on to an order to make it high enough for free shipping -- can always use an extra head lamp, they are the greatest. This one has a neat red light feature for preserving night vision, so if you are reading something while hiking at night, you don't blind yourself with the light. I have two of these. One for me and one for my husband. We use them for mucking out and taking care of our horse in the dark. I have no night vision and these help a lot. It still is not as good as getting there before sunset, but it is the best that we can do. With the days getting shorter, this is really helpful. I like the settings it has an the way it can point in the direction you want by rotating it on its pivot.Digital camera Review: I'm buying this again...

I have used both the 3-LED model and this 6-LED model, I've given both as gifts, and after dropping my 6-LED once too many times I'm buying the same model to replace it. It's lighter and less bulky than other models used by my coworkers. The body is small enough that it doesn't stick out way in front of my hardhat. The pivot feature is essential for me. I do not find the multiple click push-button to be a problem because I am not in a night-vision situation; if night vision is important to you, then the 3-LED version is the better choice for you, having a slide switch instead of the push-button (although you sacrifice brightness, since that model has only one red LED).
One advantage to having dedicated red LED's as opposed to Petzl's approach of having a red lens over white LED's: red LED's consume less power than white ones. This has helped me out a time or two: I've drained the batteries to a point that I no longer get enough illumination with the white LED's to really see what I'm doing, but I've still had a few hours of full brightness out of the red ones (or very close to full brightness). Certainly enough time to finish the task at hand without having to interrupt what I was doing, climb down, and find the fresh batteries first.
