I did a search for a 80-5808-00-00 cordless phone and this is what showed - it is a 3 cell battery and the one for the phone battery I was looking for is a 2 cell battery. This is not a replacement for the 80-5808-00-00 even though it says it is.Digital camera Review: Instant longer battery life!

I agree with other reviewers about the very poor performance of the stock panasonic phone batteries. These easily last twice as long! I always hated the short battery life of stock batteries and was ready to get a new phone. The only thing that saved the phone from the trash was that it was expensive and that it came with two handsets that let me switch between them. I contacted Panasonic to ask if my Panasonic KX-TG5110M set of three cordless phones could use the NIckel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries. They responded that I could IF I bought three NiMH chargers (one for each phone) at some extragavant cost. Their reason was that my present NIckel CaDmium (NiCD) chargers would not be able to charge the new NiMH batteries. Ergo, I am sticking with my NiCD setup. I replaced the batteries twice in my phones previously. The new batteries lasted a while but still intermittently dropped the connection. I replaced the batteries with these Lithium Ion replacements (old ones were NICAD) and all the connection problems disappeared. The batteries life has increased quite a bit with the stronger battery (more amperage). Having considered dumping my four Panasonic phones just because the batteries continued to recharge poorly and not last long when recharged, I am very happy to find that my 'last chance' change to the Energizer appears to be a great improvement! And they have saved me the cost of buying a new phone system so they are a bargain as well!
At this point I have two of my four Panasonic phones using the new Energizer batteries. The results are clearly better. First, the extra amperage (Energizers pack 1200mA vs. the Panasonic 850mA batteries) definitely translates into longer talk time between charges. No comparison, at least in our experience. And the better battery technology (Energizer NiMH vs. Panasonic's memory-effect-prone NiCad) does charge up fully every time.
As a completely unexpected and added bonus that I cannot explain, the range of the phones is better! Maybe it is the extra amperage - I do not know - but the very same phone in the very same room where I ALWAYS had static and poor reception is now perfectly clear using the Energizer battery! Now that is a very nice plus, especially since this is in my home office!
So I highly recommend trying these before you give up and toss your phones out like I was about to do! If your experience is like mine, you just may like your Panasonic phone again!
