I was wondering for the past 2 years why my Panasonic cordless phone worked so poorly. It had pitiful distance, poor battery life and would drop calls constantly. Well it has turned out that all I needed was a proper power supply and the phone which was the worst purchase we have ever made now works without any issue whatsoever. So chunk those NiCad batteries that Panasonic puts in standard and upgrade to this one or a Nickel Cadmium. These batteries are priced attractively, but eek Technology wants to charge a ridiculous amount for shipping -- almost $23 for 3 of these batteries, shipped by regular ground service.
I questioned them on their shipping price and they claim it's an incorrect product weight on amazon.com and it's impossible for them to change it. But unless someone complains, they're happy to just pocket that extra profit.

These batteries are fine; this is my second time replacing them in my Panasonic phone. (The originals lasted about a year and these about a year and a half.) But be very careful about what seems like a good deal. Amazon showed my best price as being through Eek Technology at $8.99 each. Being Amazon, I was feeling comfortable and they almost slipped through charging me over $15 shipping for an $8.99 battery. This is the kind of nonsense that I expect at eBay, not Amazon.
