I purchased 12 of these late last year. After 4 months of low to medium use, they stopped holding their charge -- even when not placed in a device. I lost several camera opportunities when I found that all the batteries in my camera bag were dead just days after being charged.
I still use them but make sure to drop them in the charger a few hours before they're to be used. It's better than just throwing them away. Definitely not "Great for the environment" if you end up throwing them away within 6 months. :(

I have 16 of these batteries (AA) and 4 (AAA) and they work like a charm! I use min in my GPS devices, and even took them on vacation last summer. I used 4 batteries and took over 300 digital pictures using my Olympus camera. That was zooming in and out, camera on and off and using a flash on all the photo's taken inside the submarine. Without a doubt, the best rechargeables you can buy. And cheap too. You can get an 8 pack of 2500mah at wal mart for $16 (AA). Amazon is getting to where finding a price on something takes an act of congress, you can find 9v and "C: cells at Buy.com for very little money. Just don't ever use rechargeable batteries in fire alarms or smoke detectors. Or in Pioneer Reciever remotes. Smoke my remote. And to the person who said they are fatter than standard batteries is wrong. I use these in my mini mag lights all the time! Remotes, Wii Controllers, MP3 portable speakers, Umbrella Lights, X360 controllers, Solar rechargeable patio lights, and many other uses. while some reviews are that these don't hold well in digital cameras, i have found that for all of my above listed these batteries perform very very well. I own about 20+ of them, and i have yet to have one that has gone bad over the past 4 years of using this brand. My only problem is the mass amount of devices that i have that use AA batteries, and that is the only reason i own so many. The small 4 battery charger is all i use, and has worked great for years!Digital camera Review: Awful, don't waste your money

I got several packs of these batteries in different sizes, and a charger recently and have just thrown them all out. They are utterly worthless; they don't hold a charge. And stores don't take returns on batteries.
