Hi bought Energy take classic 5.1 recently, and i must say it Rocks!This is my first home theater and i can truly say this system is worth every penny, I paid $400 for these speakers, but they sound like $1000++ speakers. These speakers are hooked up with new Onkyo Receiver SR607B. The speakers are a perfect fit with Onkyo sr607b. The system is hooked up with Samsung 52"LCD with SAmsung DVDP9 HDMI1080 dvd player. I do not watch too much Blu-Ray movies so did not want to spend alot for dvd player.The whole setup took me about 4 hours. I bought Mediabridge HDMI cables and Monster banana plugs which were a little expensive but i wanted to do it right and plugs made it very easy with the speaker wire. Altogether i spend about $1100 and i am really happy with the outcome. I would really recommend the energy take classic 5.1 and also the onkyo sr607, you can't go wrong with this ONE.Digital camera Review: Awesome speakers - Great value!

After listening to these speakers at Circut City, I immediately gave up my Bose 321 GSX system. These speakers when paired with a quality receiver deliver chest pounding bass and crisp highs and delivery true surround sound. I think it is funny that when you read these reviews of home theater components, you begin to realize what other components other people are using as well. For example, I think the ONKYO TX-SR606 was mentioned at least 3 times in the reviews I read. Anyhow, back in October of 2008, I was looking to upgrade my system. After reading the great reviews of the Energy take home classics, I decided to make the jump. I went to CC and got the SR606 with the Energy Speakers (and oh, while we where there, the wife begged me to get the Samsung 52A750, so we did).
Well, after 4 months of listening to these gems, I have to say, they are the best sounding speakers I have ever heard. I have the rear sats on end tables next to the couch and if I am watching a program where someone puts a glass on a table, it literally sounds like someone put a glass on the table next to me.
Special effects in the movies really make you feel like you are there. I am sure for a couple of thousand dollars you could get similar quality, but I didnt want to spend that much personally. These things remind me of when they take you to the sound room at the retailers and let you listen to the expensive speakers only with these you dont need the special room to hear the quality.
I also use them while gaming and they sound perfect.
If you are lucky enough to find a CC in the next couple of weeks, I am sure you can get a super deal (also look into the Onkyo SR606 while you are at it). Both are sold here and you just need to wait for a good price.

If you are looking for speakers in this price range don't even think about it, buy these! I bought these along with the Onkyo TX-SR508 receiver. I had done days of looking for speakers prior to buying these. Quite honestly, I had never heard of Energy speakers! After researching and reading reviews I kept coming back to these and decided to take the plunge. I must say I have to agree with pretty much all other reviewers....."these are some of the best speakers I have heard". You may think that because the price of these speakers are cheap that they must be cheap speakers. Not true, these sound better and are built better than my 4 times more expensive Bose system we have in our "entertainment" room. In fact, I will be replacing those soon! Anyway, great product!
