Digital camera Review: Digitalizing print and slide photographs
Summary: 4 Stars

After reading about several products, I selected this scanner to copy old prints and slides, and even negatives. It has a large bed for scanning in pages of photograph albums, and attachment for scanning in four slides at a time. The slide scanning is slow, but there are several options for image size, etc., and the quality is good. I read a novel between selecting groups of slides, but got them all entered. The price was reasonable, and once I get through this large project, I'll not use it for much more, perhaps scanning documents which I need to.
My project was to prepare a book for each of my grown children, and this equipment and software will allow me to move the images into my computer and begin the next phase.

Digital camera Review: Does the job as promised
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this mainly to scan negatives and it does a good job with the negatives. Sometimes when scanning multiple pictures at the same time, it may try to scan two pictures as just one larger picture, but it does a good job with three or less photos at once.

Digital camera Review: Does what I need it to
Summary: 4 Stars

I was looking for a scanner mostly to use with photos, as a bonus it also scans film negatives. It comes with a program to assist with editing but I find the program fairly useless. I edit using other software. The photos scan quickly, the negatives, not so quickly. But the quality is good and I never have to fuddle with the size of the item being scanned. It figures out the technical stuff on its own.

One of the other scanners I was looking at had a rolling ball you put the photos through. That would not work for me. I couldn't risk ruining my old photos. With this scanner you place the photo on the screen, close the cover and it does the work.

I was amazed at how good the photos turned out after using the negative scanner. Really cool. Perfect purchase for me and at a much better price than most of the good photo scanners I've seen out there. Would definitely by the same scanner again if given the choice.

Digital camera Review: Does what it is suppose to do!
Summary: 5 Stars

I am presently using this scanner for two large projects...it is very easy to operate...the pictures are coming out clear...I have only used the automatic mode so far but have no reason to believe that the other modes will work successfully as well.

Digital camera Review: Does what it is supposed to.
Summary: 4 Stars

I got this to replace an old scanner that, as far as I could tell, never lived up to its potential.

I've only used it a couple of times so far, but for me the best feature is the ability to scan to a PDF. I've tried all the features: Scan, copy, e-mail and save to PDF and they all essentially work at the touch of a button.

It took just a few minutes to set up the scanner, but I found the "user" guide a bit convoluted and found myself learning how to use the features by trial and error.

If this performs well over time, I think it's great value for the money.

Updated 2 after two months of owning:

I've given this scanner a pretty good workout in the last couple months, and it's great. Very easy to use. I have no complaints about it, and for the price I feel like I got a bargain.

Recommended.
