After garnishing such a rave review from cnet.com, and being fairly cheap for an all-in-one, I had hoped it would a hassle-free machine.
Well, it worked absolutely fine for the first yr, though the colors in the photo printing never really seemed as good as they should be,
but I didn't really need for high-end printing; mostly for school.
Then something happened, I don't know. The print quality started declining, and it's been a steady decline ever since. There were frequent gaps and color mismatches. It started using too much ink, and would not print properly, if it all, if the ink levels in just one of the cartridges was too low, even though in the first year, it would print just fine in similar situations. I spent many a nights just trying to get it to print lecture notes for class. Now, the print quality is atrocious despite repeated attempts using the built-in nozzle cleaner.
A good friend, who fixes computers and such, said most manufacturers now build in senescence into their machines, so they break down after a year or two. I didn't really believe him. But this machine is making me a believer. Avoid buying it!
