Digital camera reviews of Epson T048120 Black Ink Cartridge (Stylus Photo R300, R300M, and RX500 Printers)Digital camera Review: Best Option for Epson Printers Summary: 5 Stars
After trying a cheaper imitation ink cartridge, I can now say that using Epson ink cartridges is the only reliable way to keep your printer working properly. This is mainly true for color accuracy of printed color material. Now I am convinced.
Digital camera Review: Best buy!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I have an Epson printer and NEVER buy knock-off inks. Whenever I need to restock I always shop around for the best price. Amazon came through once again for having the best price available. I won't hesitate to shop with them again for my Epson supplies.
Digital camera Review: Better than a refurb Summary: 4 Stars
What can I say. It is an ink cartridge. However, for the price, it was a good purchase and delivered a bit ahead of promised. I have used discounted cartridge generics that for the most part are refills. Although black is black, I found the refill products to often be leaky so I'll stick with Epson and this supplier for now. I use more black than color so getting a few at a time is about the same price as a single at the local office supply store.
Digital camera Review: Did not work with other original cartriges!! Summary: 1 Stars
I just wanted 2 replace the black ink in my printer without replacing the other colors. It did not work! It was working before the original black ink was emptied!!
Digital camera Review: Does what it is supposed to do but not very well Summary: 3 Stars
Pros:
1. It's black ink, and it prints black.
2. It's compatible with the Epson printers, being an Epson cartridge.
3. It's easy to change the cartridge.
Cons:
1. Epson can leave a lot of ink in the cartridge when it declares that the cartridge must be changed.
2. Epson designed this ink to favor it's "vividness" over longevity. The inks are water soluble. So if you spill your coffee on the page, the inks run everywhere. If you were to take a photo to a very humid environment, the same thing would happen. The pages don't last long.
3. The ink bleeds terribly on plain paper resulting in a very blurry print. It's obviously not a laserjet but still very blurry for an inkjet.
4. Printing a photo is expensive compared to online or local print shops. This is generally true of all inkjets compared to Snapfish, Walgreens, Flickr, CVS, etc.
I would not have bought the printer in the first place had I know Con #2, but, as long as I have it, this is the ink to buy.
