I live in So. Calif. and not only do I have to think about earthquakes, I live within the "fallout/evacuation zone" of the San Onofre nuclear plant. So I decided I'd better pay heed to the suggestion of a disaster preparedness kit. This is a key item suggested for both and was exactly what I wanted: No battery radio, built in flashlight and cell phone charger, and Red Cross sanctioned. Living in California means being prepared for earthquakes. I like this product because it has the cell phone charger in addition to the radio and flashlight. It doesn't use batteries but is a hand crank plus solar charged!
I haven't tried the cell phone feature yet but everything else works great.

This little device is just what I needed. It was easy to charge the battery; I put the device in a sunny window for five hours. The light is bright. The radio is adequate for my needs. This is a great little radio/flashlight/cell charger. Picks up signals very well and plays for hours with just one minute of cranking. Great flashlight very bright beam, plus the cell phone charger is great when no power is on.
