Digital camera Review: Almost perfect!

First, don't buy the case Amazon Bundles this with. I can not see any application with the two and the case is about half the size of the Radio.
Yes the radio isn't water proof or resistant. It would be nice if they would fix that, it really wouldn't take much. I went out to a local store and payed $3 for a water proof bag to seal this in.
It would also be nice if the radio had a shortwave feature since they have everything else.
As for everything else this is the radio you have to have for emergencies! It has everything in a rugged design and you never have to worry about stupid batteries. In an emergencies the last thing you are going to find is batteries.

I purchased this product to serve multiple functions and it does them all well. I can not rate the cell phone charger function as I have not tested it yet - but given the generator charges the internal battery - it should work just fine in a pinch. The GMRS radio was the primary draw for me to this unit for general purpose use and use in an emergency. I have other hand held GMRS radios( Midland and Standard Horizon ) that work very well with this radio. The FM radio also works well as does the weather radio and alert function. An Emergency Piece of Equipment. Purchased Amazon. March 2008. Not 10 hours on the radio. Why! PURCHASED for EMERGENCY. Tested radio ( Periodic ) this day 02/07/2011. Volumn control does not function, properly. ETON Tech Support. Will not help! "Out of Warrenty" Recommended service vendors.Called Two of them. I was told "No parts for this unit; or will not answer their phone. Requested to ETON, "Please direct me to someone who will help me with a $150.00 purchase / 10 hours of use, if that. Right now I am giving this product only one star because it does not arrive with the cell phone charging cable. You have to register with Eton before they will send it to you, and it takes 3-4 weeks. (Luckily I read this information from another purchaser, because the manual that came with the device mentioned nothing about this.) Also I bought two and asked for two cables and Eton sent me only one. It's disappointing because I had an Eton from about 5 years ago that came with a bunch of charging cables. This new policy of theirs is ridiculous. As for how it performs, now that I finally have the cable I can try out all the features and perhaps update this review.
