Digital camera Review: Don't crank it too fast...
Summary: 3 Stars

... or you'll break the handle!
Pros: Nice design. Decent FM reception, AM not so good. The weather channels are nice to have. Radio will tough it out on relatively little light, but not for very long.
Cons: way too short battery life between charges (i.e. leaving it out in the sun for the whole day will get you about an hour and a half of radio play at low to medium volume level). The short battery life leaves you having to crank it often and in doing so at a moderately fast speed, I was left standing with a broken handle in my hands. That shouldn't happen with a product being sold at this price.

Digital camera Review: Great - but radio is weak
Summary: 4 Stars

Normal radio isn't as strong as I'd like - only local station is strong. Weather stations are strong. Can't seem to get all the stations that I get in my car. But everything else is great. Small and compact. Fairly solid. LED light is much better than I thought. Cheap. Haven't really tried to use the crank - solar cells have kept it powered up pretty good.

Digital camera Review: Great little radio
Summary: 5 Stars

I think that living in California with the constant threat of earthquakes, it is an item that everyone should possess. The radio works great and the flashlight is an added bonus.
(And the best part is that no batteries are needed.)

Digital camera Review: Next time I would buy something different
Summary: 2 Stars

I am not very happy with this product. I live in the Minneapolis area and can barely receive the weather station for my area. The radio does pick up FM stations clearly but the speaker is so small that the sound quality is not good. I bought this for my emergency/survival kit and it would be really nice to hear the local weather especially during a tornado or thunderstorm. Since I can't seem to hear the weather on a clear day I really doubt that it will be useful in a storm. I am still waiting for Eton to send the cell phone charger tip so, I can't comment on that aspect of this radio. It would seem to make sense, to me, if Eton would perhaps charge a little more and include the AC adapter. But no such luck. Next time I'll buy a better weather radio. I also bought one of these for my sister in storm ravaged Iowa. She has the same complaints. The flashlight is a nice option. Now I own a $30 flashlight and so does my sister.

Digital camera Review: No cell phone adapter sent
Summary: 2 Stars

The radio and flashlight functions work well, but it was also advertised as being a cell phone charger. I filled out and sent in all the required paperwork to get the cell phone adapter from the company over 6 months ago, but never received anything from them. It would have been better to just buy a cheaper model and forget about the phone charger.
