Digital camera Review: A bargain for great hearing protection

I'm a working musician. I decided several years ago that I wanted to be able to hear my grandchildren and found these - they are a bargain for great hearing protection. They maintain very good fidelity and allow you to hear very well on stage (not perfect but well enough for a good performance). The other bonus is that you can hear yourself sing (well enough to stay on pitch and tell what your doing) without a stage monitor blasting your head off. If you are running sound you can get a mix and do your tonal balancing, then wear these for the rest of the show. You will have no problem keeping relative levels and keeping the mix straight... and you'll rack up a lot less hearing damage.
The only minor negative is: I play bass and because you hear much of the low stuff through body conduction, the bass can get a bit boomy and lose definition on stage in close proximity to your rig or a subwoofer. But you can still tell what you are doing.
The only thing better is active in ear monitors and they cost 50x more.
I keep extras for running things around my house... like the weedeater, lawnmower, skill saw, etc.
