I really love these ear plugs. I've never enjoyed going to clubs and loud bars because it literally hurts when the noise level is so high. With these ear plugs I can go out for the night and not have any discomfort or headache during and after. Loud music is still somewhat loud with the ear plugs, but it is tolerable for me now, and I can still hear well enough to talk to other people with them in.Digital camera Review: Great for musicians

These are much better than foam earplugs. everything's clear. First thing I did when I got them was test them out in a movie theater. Watched the whole movie with no problems. There is quite a bit of in-head noise, like breathing and chewing, but it is great for when I'm singing because I can hear myself clearly over the rest of the band.Digital camera Review: Great for the price...I guess?

I have a bias for the high end frequencies when it comes to listening to music. I tend to ride EQ higher on the treble. With that in mind, I was somewhat dissappointed when I put these guys in. I did not seat them entirely in the ear canal when I used them as it muffled the high end a little more than I liked. It worked but I had to fuss with them from time to time because of the dynamics in the concert, pulling them out a little sometimes...then shoving them back when it got louder.
I think I might have liked the ER9's or the 15's better, but they don't make them at the less expensive price.
Overall, they saved my ears and I enjoyed the concert!

These hearing protectors deliver as advertised. They attenuated noise fairly uniformly across the frequency bands, not just high frequencies so it is possible to understand speech but still get an overall reduction in noise of around 20 dB which I confirmed with a computer based octave analyzer. These little earplugs are really comfortable to wear. There is no adjustments though so if you have small ears buy the smaller blue version. Otherwise the material is soft and should easily fit a wide range of ears. They sound really good although they almost attenuate too much sound at concerts if you're just looking for a slight reduction in sound. Sound is definitely much clearer though than cheap foam ear plugs. Also the clear plugs are very inconspicuous.
