Digital camera Review: Decent, worth the price. (I'm a drummer) NRR is actuall 12 decibels.
Summary: 4 Stars
I've tried these for about 30 minutes so far whilst drumming. The product claims even noise reduction with audible bass but lower highs.
First note: the technical details on this product are incorrect. It states a reduction of 20 decibels, though the package insert says 12 decibels. Unfortunately, the product comes in a ziploc-style bag with a sticker over this area, so you must open the package to read this part of the insert. (What's the sticker on the outside say? "Non-returnable if opened!")
Still, the noise reduction was more than I expected for 12 db. I could hear my bass drum and toms clearly, and the cymbals were extremely tolerable! The only complaint I have so far is that it sounds like my snare drum is in tom mode (can't here the metal of the snare).
I only tested the ear plugs in a small room with a drumset, and they work great. Not sure how well they work for concerts, but I'm definitely taking them to the next one I attend!
