Digital camera Review: AMAZING sound quality, but takes a little getting used to

I'm not going to pretend to be an audiophile. But I've listened to all kinds of high-end earphones, from Shure to Klipsch to Ultimate Ears.
These Etymotic HF5s blow them out of the water.
It's a cliche, but you really will hear things in your music that you've never heard before. The sound is incredible, with the highs being clear but not piercing. The bass is tight and fast, though it isn't the artificially boosted bass that most people are used to.
The only thing that keeps me from unequivocally recommending these to my friends is that it takes a little time to get used to wearing these. They really have to go deep in your ear canal for you to experience the sound quality and isolation. It took me about a day before I was able to master the "technique" of inserting these earphones easily. I recommend pointing the earphones up in your ears, then twisting forward.
