Much quieter than previous shredder. Seems well built and appears it will last a long time, especially in a home office setting. Like the large bin for shredded paper and that the bin pulls out to empty easily without removing the shredder mechanism of the unit. We bought the shredder for a small office averaging about 2-3 (18) gallon bags per month. Nice and quiet, does the job, and has worked as promised for 6 months. Can't understand why some say it won't shred more than 6 sheets of paper. Unless it is the type and thickness of paper. So, I took a copy of a magazine, and 15 pages disappeared like beaver eating an aspen tree. But, if I put some of our 24# letterhead 25% cotton stationery, it's crying for mercy at 10-12 sheets. This does not take a rocket scientist from Penemunde to figure out.
But, (there's always a but, isn't there?) it stopped working: no lights, no motor, nada, bupkis, Machinen kaput! Called Fellowes, they are sending new machine and will pick up the old one. Vee vill zee vhat hoppens zoon! (yeah, I know, I'm mixin' my Russian with my German...)

This is the best shredder I've ever had. Makes my home office more efficient and it will pay for itself in just a matter of months with the time I save in shredding.
