This is my third shredder & have to state this is by far the best shredder I have ever purchased. After my first Fellows shredder died ( my fault due to lack of lubrication ). Then purchased another brand (Oiled as Directed) & it died in two weeks. Researched & read reviews of most shredders & decided on this one. Was absolutely the correct choice & this handles the job very well & is by far quieter than any shredder I've seen. Highly recommend this item for the home office or small business. I love this shredder!!!! I like the fact that you can shove any document through it and it shreds away, purring like a kitten. I've been shredding somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 years worth of paperwork. And old outdated credit cards. I've owned a couple of shredders, but this is by far the best! It's robust, doesn't jam and has lots of bin capacity. A good price, particularly given that it also does cross-cut and has a good auto-shutoff feature if your hand even just gets close to the apeture. This was the 2nd shredder I purchased in the last 5 years. My first one was a little dinky so I decided to buy a better one. The Fellowes Powershred p-57c is everything I needed in a shredder. It handles several sheets at once or mildly thick junk mail envelopes. It shreds through CDs and credit cards very nicely. No smells or lag time. Even when I put an overload of paper, it still gnaws through it better than expected. The auto sensor is nice if you have children around. I like the design, very easy to open the lid without removing the entire shredder top. The only reason I gace this shredder 4 stars is because it's loud, but hey it's a shredder right?Digital camera Review: Best Value by far!!!

For the price tag, this is the best value I have found. It doesn't really shred 8 pages at a time (unless it is super thin paper like credit card receipts or the like). But, the capacity more than makes up for it!! I have a tremendous amount of shredables (probably > 200 bags worth!) because I have been going through the cheap shredders like crazy. I admit I had my doubts, I'm one that thought the more expensive shredders were just bigger and more expensive versions of the smaller crappy models. But I am finally getting rid of this mountain of shredables thanks to this shredder. I shred between 1-2 bags a day (well over the 160 page-per-day it advertises) and have NO PROBLEMS! The value has already surpassed its purchase price!
