The basket is the right size - use is simple - peace of mind for secure document destruction is priceless.
Cost and delivery - ideal.

If you want a decent, reliable shredder for home use, this is a good buy for the price. Just don't expect that it will perform as stated-- none of them do.
They'll usually shred at an adequate speed, but not as fast as mfg claims-- or shred as many pieces of paper, credit cards, etc without slowing down.
Wish the catch bin was larger. I need to empty is too often. Unit would get a 4 star if there was more capacity.
Overall, would consider another fellowes home shredder in future if the need arose.

It won't take an entire credit card solicitation at once, you have to unfold it first. It will take the full 8 sheets, but they must be square on the blades. If they are offset and crumple a bit, the machine struggles to get through.
Blades are well protected by the design of this unit, an adult finger can't get to the blades from the top. The auto shut off is triggered when ANY of the metal surrounding the shredder blades is touched by a finger. It's annoying when you're trying to use the shredder, but a good defence against little fingers.

This shredder is decent for the home office if you don't have to shred a lot of documents or you have plenty of time to spend shredding. The description says it will accept up to eight (8) pages at a time but I'm afraid that is a big exaggeration. I'd say you can do up to three (3) safely without distressing the motor too much. I have a much more powerful shredder at my work, the Fellows DM-6, so I have something heavy duty to compare to. However, there are some nice features on the P-57Cs listed in the item description, so I do recommend with the caveats noted above.
