Digital camera Review: Nice stand, but my book didnt fit.

I couldn't find the dimensions of the little arms that hold the book, but I can tell you that there is less than 1.5 " of space between the arm and the back. I have a 4.5 " text book I wanted to set up, but if I divide the pages into thirds I can get it to work. It's alright, but not what I really wanted. The construction is solid, and it's a nice stand, just a pain for thick books.Digital camera Review: Not for big Textbooks

This wire study stand is just useless if you have a heavy text book like I have.
- Improper balancing because textbook is larger than the stand
- Cheap rubber ends make even turning pages a big hassle
I would not recommend even for a small book. I am going to throw this away & get a wooden one instead.

I purchased this product in the expectation that it was rather large (per the picture showing a big book resting on it). Unfortunately it only holds books at a depth of 1.5 inches, which is useless for the programming books, and other textbooks I own. Also the stand doesn't have a lock, it is instead combined with the page holders on the front to create a rather cumbersome mechanism. The lack of any real helpful adjustments also made this purchase a regretful one. If you are going to use books of any real thickness, look elsewhere as I know I just wasted $10.Digital camera Review: Not for soft cover books.

Extremely portable, light, and durable. This is definitely a product worth trying! I think it's better suited for hard cover books though, It's a little flimsy when its holding onto large soft cover books. I am a little bothered that its not SYMMETRICAL, One of the legs is longer than the other, but that doesn't really hinder its functionality. Because I frequently travel for business, I spend quite a bit of time on airplanes and in restaurants on my own. My Kindle was the first greatest thing Amazon did for me, but the Fellows Stand is the second. Even on the plane, I set it up on the tray table and it works perfectly. In restaurants, I no longer have a cobble together an angles support of salt shakers and constantly fight with my Kindle slipping off them.
The Fellows stand is inexpensive yet durable, light yet sturdy, travels flat in my bag yet sets up easily and is somewhat angle adjustable. It was a great buy!
