I bought this battery as a backup battery to bring with me on vacation. The battery works well, although, I was only able to take about 320 shots with this battery (with the flash off, or using an external flash, and minimal review on the lcd), which seems to be about 70% the number I've been able to take with the Olympus brand battery.
Overall, works good as a backup battery, but doesn't seem to last as long as the Olympus brand battery.

I purchsed this Adorama Replacement BLM-1 Battery for my Evolt E-510 camera. I have only been able to use it for a couple of long shooting sessions to date. It appears to hold a charge just a well as the original Olympus battery ...... for less than 1/3 the cost.
I would surely recommend this battery for Olympus camera owners that can use this model battery. Adorama shipped the battery very promptly. I have had several very good experiences with Adorama Camera.

I use this Flashpoint BLM-1 battery in my Olympus E-520. It is a direct, fully compatible replacement for all Olympus applications calling for the BLM-1. Since receiving it three weeks ago, I charged the battery to full capacity in about 2.5 hours (all lithium rechargeables ship at about 1/2 charge), and it has been in my camera since. I have shot nearly 300 frames, including 30+ with the on-camera flash, and battery appears to still be more than 50% full. I won't know conclusively until after a few charge cycles, but this battery seems to have the same or larger capacity than the much more expensive OEM Olympus battery (currently over $40!), and expect it to give long service. I have a few other Flashpoint lithium rechargeables, and they all continue to give good service (take a charge and maintain most of original capacity), after more than 3 years of regular use in one case.
I paid about $6.50, with free shipping from Eforcity, so this is a terrific value. Physical build quality is excellent, if it isn't as pretty or as finished looking as the OEM (is that an issue for an item that spends it life out of sight?).
Eforcity shipped is to me very quickly, beating its own delivery estimate by two days. Highly recommend both the Flashpoint battery, and Eforcity, on the basis of item quality, price, shipping, and packaging.

I haven't bothered to do a direct test with my original BLM-1. But suffice to say, 2 of these plus the BLM-1 lasted me for a 3-day trip to Yosemite, ~1000 pictures, with sparing use of live view.Digital camera Review: Olmpus Off Brand Camera Battery

This was a "too good to be true" price of $5 for a $20-$40 battery for my Olympus E-510, which proved to be true. Though shipping was nearly as much as the battery, it came pretty quick from Eforcity and they work as well or better than the battery that came with the camera. I do a lot of event photography and need spare batteries to be ready to go. Highly recommended!
