I bought this Flip for my daughter for Christmas, and it looked great, and was easy to use for recording. But when I tried to download the videos, it did not work. I spend almost an entire day on the phone with Apple, AOL, and finally Flip itself, and turned out, this "brand new" product featured older software, which was why I could not download the videos. Flip did send me updated software so I could execute the downloads, but honestly, I think it was a bit of a rip off and disappointment that Amazon did NOT reveal this information. I believed I was buying something new, and while it was new in the box, it wasn't the most current version, so I think this was a bit of false advertising. I bought this for my husband and it is great for catching quick moments of your kids, etc. I like it myself because it doesn't have a bunch of confusing buttons (I'm technology challenged with these types of things) and is easy to take on the go. I will say that it is better to use a traditional style video camera for occasions such as your child's Christmas play, etc. It does not have a zoom or focus so it is strictly meant to do some quick and simple stuff. I do love it and highly recommend it!
