Digital camera Review: Don't Leave Home Without It!

Wow! Simple & great quality! I love the simplicity of this camera! The point & shoot capability is awesome! The quality is good! The ease of use when connecting to your PC is fabulous!
The editing software is basic, but does an ok job. Beyond the simpleness is a minor learning curve, but don't make it too complicated on yourself. This is really a nice, small, convenient tool!

The easiest way to describe this is to call it the iPod of video cameras. It's got the same kind of slick, intuitive design that made the iPod such a success.
The user experience is so easy that even a child could do it: It arrived fully charged, so I just took it out of the box and pressed the red button to start recording. When I was done, I just plugged the USB connector at the top of the camera into my computer and it saved my videos for me. The USB connection also recharged the camera so that I could go out and shoot another round. The flip doesn't need cords, cables, CDs, instructions, or anything like that. It just works.
The video quality isn't HD, but it's not bad for a device that fits comfortably in a pocket. You shouldn't plan on shooting your feature-length masterpiece on this, but it's great for shooting casual Internet videos with friends or for remembering special moments.
The only complaint I have is that the touch-sensitive buttons can be a little too sensitive sometimes. It's easy to brush your hand across the back and get a series of chirps from the Flip as it tries to figure out why you just pressed all the buttons at once. But so far I haven't had any real problems. I also tend to not use the video-editing software that comes with the Flip, but that's just personal preference.

I bought this for my husband and it is great for catching quick moments of your kids, etc. I like it myself because it doesn't have a bunch of confusing buttons (I'm technology challenged with these types of things) and is easy to take on the go. I will say that it is better to use a traditional style video camera for occasions such as your child's Christmas play, etc. It does not have a zoom or focus so it is strictly meant to do some quick and simple stuff. This little video camera actually takes better video than I thought It would. Its awesome ! Its so easy to handle . A kid can do it. Its a fun camera, just wish it had more power zoom and I would give it 5 stars . I recommend it for kids and for Adults that don't like fiddeling with a complicated video camera. Really it is that simple to use that nothing else is needed but the camera and the computer. The AVI video quality is more than good for this camera.
