Designers of the Flip Video UltraHD, should get all kinds of engineering and product design awards. The UltraHD does everything I wanted and more -- nearly perfect clearity video. Software is simple, installs quickly and is exceptionally easy to use. Now, I want to purchase a good video editor!!
Superb product, well conceived, and thoughtfully executed in production.
Only drawback: you must hold it very steady while walking -- otherwise your viewers may get a little seasick!!

I purchased my first Flip Camcorder about a year and a half ago when I was planning my trip to Ireland. I bought a 60 minute basic Flip and was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to use and the great quality of the video. The only downside I saw with the original was the fact that it was only 60 minutes. Enter the new Flip UltraHD Camcorder which has a 120 minute capability. When I first received it, I couldn't wait to try it out. The quality of the video is beautiful and the HD capability really makes a huge difference in my pictures. I love the fact that the camera is smaller than my original camera and that I know can film up to 120 minutes. When I took the camera to Ireland, I found that a 60 minute recording just couldn't be used for a day's worth of sightseeing. I found myself taking short snippets, afraid that I would use up the entire capability until I was able to get back to the hotel and offload the recording. The short vignettes really came across choppy and I was yearning for a larger capacity. This 120 minute model, besides having better resolution, allows me the ability to take the camera with me full day to record. I haven't seen the problem with battery life yet (as I have seen others comment on), so I can't say anything negative. I just love my new Flip and I highly recommend it for any one planning to take a vacation this year. I experienced some charging problems. Needed to play with the USB connector to enable it to charge correctly. It is HD as advertised but I didn't get a jolt of WOW or anything. Seems to be like any other Camera. At $200, it's too expensive to be a throw-away device but I can't recommend it over any other digital camera. The plastic has a cheap feel to it. Seems troublesome to post the videos onto the internet. Avoid this camera is my advice.Digital camera Review: Appalling customer service

Hi, I bought this in April used it for 3 weeks then tried to recharge it in my laptop, it doesnt charge. I have been emailing flip support now for over 1 month to resolve this, they finally told me I need to return it but to the CZECH REPUPLIC at my own expense & they would in return send me a refurbished replacement.
I am very disappointed with flip & would certainly not recommend them as a result of their disgusting attitude to their customers.

I read all the reviews prior to purchasing this camera. It's GREAT, no question. BUT, in the future, I believe the software has to be improved. There were some glitches with connecting w/ FACEBOOK and SHARING was slower and more complicated than I was led to believe. Editing is very basic but user-friendly.
The reason I don't use it more than I do is because one has to stand very close to one's subject -- the zoom ZOOMS JUST a LITTLE closer but not like my standard camcorder.
This camera lives in my purse for quick capture of conversations and faces while sitting around. It doesn't replace my other camcorder for kids' concerts and larger, farther distance recording. Wish it did...
