Bought this camera on a whim a few weeks ago, and recently returned from a vacation with it. Easy to use, convenient to slip in a pocket, and the quality is excellent. I even let my kids play with it, and they had a great time. It's perfect for that---at the price, practically disposable (practically....).

The beauty of this camcorder is in the simplicity of the built-in software. Because of Flip Video anyone from me (tech savvy guru) to my Grandma Ruby- (not at all tech savvy, love you grams!) can share video via the web or through email. This is something competing cams do not have built into their software-yes same look and feel, but they aren't working with YouTube. This is a very cool camera! It can be plugged into the tv to view your videos immediately or you can save the videos and put them on a cd or dvd. Also if you save them as smaller files you can email them and put them up on youtube or other websites. Great battery life, very nice picture on television. **The only other thing I would mention is that it draws a lot of power from the usb drive, so you may get a surge on hub message when uploading. I had to buy an external powered usb hub for about $10. This tends to happen more with laptops than desktop computers. But this camera is great for convenience, like recording yourself and friends on roller coasters, etc.Digital camera Review: Awesome gift!

I bought six of these for my wedding and gave them to our bridesmaids and groomsmen. They were our videographers and it was so cool to get everyone's perspective on the festivities. They take awesome video and sound , even in darker areas. our wedding was outside on the beach at night and the video showed up great!
