This thing is absolute crap, with even worse support from the manufacturer and Amazon. I returned it, at my expense, to the maker b/c Windows wouldn't recognize it. A month later it comes back to me WITHOUT the accessories I shipped it with. Now it has the same problem again, and Amazon says I'm past the return date--yeah, by one week, and because the camcorder was supposedly being repaired.
Don't buy this piece of garbage.

I bought this for an upcoming trip overseas where I will be meeting family for the first time. Since my mother is elderly, I thought it would be nice to take some short videos for her. I did not want to schlep a huge video camera in my baggage so I thought this would be the perfect size. The pictures are pretty good--not top shelf, but adequate. When panning across a scene do it slowly as it tends to blur if you move too quickly.Views well on a TV set with the enclosed cables. Battery life seems to be very good. I have not replaced the batteries yet. The microphone is extremely sensitive and will pick up anything you, the camera operator will say--even your breathing! So keep in mind to hold the camera a little away from your face when you are recording! And don't talk under your breath as it will pick it up! The Flip is AWESOME! It is perfect for family videos, vacations, trips or just goofing around. It is SOOO easy to use and the best part is that the software is built into the camera! No more downloading of bulky software that you can only use on your computer. I used this when I was visiting my family and was ablet to take video of everyone, make short family movies and load it up to YouTube from all their homes! I am very happy with this video camera. The 60 Minute unit is the one to have. 30 minute unit not quite enough for us. Small enough to carry anywhere. I took it on trip to Cape Cod the other week and was VERY happy. Used it on a 70 mile high speed bike ride and is EASY to use while "on-the-go". I am a corporate pilot and use it in our jets and works good on-board aircraft for shooting inside and out.
Would give 5 Star but ONLY real drawback is I wish it had a little more zoom power.
Other than that, BUY ONE!!! It's what I call an "EP". Emergency Purchase"!!
