Digital camera reviews of Flip Video Tripod

Digital camera Review: A must-buy for the Flip
Summary: 5 Stars

Do yourself a favor and buy this mini-tripod for the Flip. Compared to what I spent on the actual Flip, this mini-tripod is a bargain and it really helps keep my videos from being too shaky. To use it, you screw it on to the bottom of the Flip and then adjust the 3 bendable legs into whatever position you want them to be in. For storage, the 3 legs also fold straight and tight so it doesn't take up a lot of room in your bag. One surprise I found that I hadn't thought about before was that there isn't always a good place to put the tripod to get the perfect angle for your video. So, I learned to just stack things up like books or boxes and place the tripod on top of that and then the angle is fine.

Digital camera Review: A must-have for FlipMino users
Summary: 5 Stars

The reviews all say this is a must-have for FlipMino owners and we would concur. The size is almost amazingly small, yet the construction is rock-solid. Highly recommended.

Digital camera Review: A steady tripod for your Flip
Summary: 5 Stars

This tripod for the Flip Ultra is very good and I highly recommend it. Small hand movements look huge when you playback your videos on a large screen TV. It makes your videos look much better when the Flip is steady and not moving all the time. The price is great and the quality is excellent. It is well made and feels like it will last the lifetime of the Flip. It attaches easily to the mount on the bottom of the Flip and comes with extra sets of feet in colors so it will match your camcorder. It is five inches tall and the legs are infinitely adjustable. The legs will also grasp objects so you can put the Flip on a stable mount just about anywhere. Although, I would not use this method on anything that is moving, it doesn't grip tight enough for that. There are other mounts you can get to fasten the Flip to bikes and helmets.

Digital camera Review: Acceptable tripod
Summary: 4 Stars

This little tripod is useful for some situations. I like the flexibility of the legs, the compact size that makes it easy to take along with the flip mino video camera. The small size that makes it very portable in one respect, has drawbacks in another respect. If I prop the camera on a table or counter to take a group photo, for example, the short legs cut off the tops of the heads in the photo. If I place it higher on an average, eye-level shelf, I have to bend the camera forward to get the shot and it tips because the legs are too short in proportion to the tilt. But it's good if you are taking shots in a controlled situation. I would buy it again, along with a large tripod for serious videos.Flip Tripod for Flip Ultra and Mino Camcorders

Digital camera Review: Adequate, but not that good
Summary: 3 Stars

This isn't really very versatile, kind of hard to bend the legs to get things even or adjust camera angle. I recommend the Joby Gorillapod which works much better, albeit at a slightly higher cost.
