I did not buy this camera from Amazon.
I bought it from the Home Shopping Network as a today's special. you get the camera, case, cords, software, free shutterfly printing stuff.. etc. great deal.
upon opening the box i was ecstatic. it takes amazing pictures. my favorite subjects are flowers, animals.. sunsets, landscapes, etc. the camera has special settings for all of those and a lot more like fireworks and stuff. its really awesome. many customizable things, up until the background color of the lcd screen. very satisfied.. worth the 250 bucks.
despite what people say, it IS a dslr because of the apature settings. :)

This camera rocks!!!! Even thow it is an older camera you wouldent know it by the pictures it takes. 90% of the pictures i have taken look like a pro took them. And the 10X zoom is out of this world!! dont bother with the digital zoom you dont need it!!
Battery Life 5 star- I have taken over 500 pictures and loads of videos on one set of generic batteries. It does take 4 AA batteries vs. 2AA in most cameras.
Display-OMG!!! the screen on the back (not the view finder) is better than my 19"wide screen desktop screen!!! Really impressive!! Now the bad. The viewfinder is a seperat digital screen that you would find on a cheep no name camera. I dont use it.
Ease of Use- You really need to read all of the manual to learn all the extea features and is worth looking at. (yes im a man)
Picture quality- For 7MP its unreal.. I have an vivitar 12MP that cant even get close to this quality. I only gave it a 4 Star because i havent been able to take a clear picture of moving objects. I would say this is more my falt than the camera.
Overall I can say i wouldent buy a more expencive camera unless it were a DSLR.

This is probably one of the best quality, easy to use cameras I've ever used. Unfortunately, mine was stolen a few weeks ago, but because I loved this camera so much, I bought another one to replace it.
It is lightweight, yet still feels solid. The macro function is excellent. and the all around color and focusing is great.

We purchased this camera for our high school sophmore. She is not a professional photographer but refused to use a small "silver" digital camera. Her choices were always $300-$450 cameras which for a sophmore, were out of the question. I came across this in a print add and went on line to see if I could find it at a better price. I did by about $40. It turned out to be the best choice. Everyone who has seen it and the pictures raves about both. We have a family member who has a number of these same cameras for work and private use and said we made a great choice in buying this for our daughter. What a deal! Great shots, quick shooting, video and still, 10X zoom is amazing! Close up and super close up settings (Macro), enables you to put audio to you still shots too!!
Took on a mission trip to Jamaica and got 255 fantastic clear photos and 25 movies on one 2GB disk and everyone on the trip decided they want this camera!
